Panix Newsgroups

Not only does Panix provide access to Usenet and other world-wide newsgroups, we have our own groups where users can share everything from day-to-day experiences to recipes, to movie reviews, to political perspectives.

The following moderated groups are a source of announcements:

panix.announce: announcements affecting large groups of Panix users
panix.motd.system: reposts of Messages of the Day - System
panix.motd.social: reposts of Messages of the Day - Social
panix.motd.megapop: reposts of alerts from StarNet, our dialup provider

The following newsgroups (some more active than others) are divided into the general "panix" hierarchy and the "panix.user" hierarchy. The latter hierarchy consists of groups created at our users' request.
