Quota details

The examples below are based on numbers that may have changed.

Output of quota command:

Here's what the output looks like for most users:

If you have a MySQL database, there's an additional line, like this::

Explanation:: - The first line is the combined numbers for all file systems.; - The second line is usage on the shell and web file system.; - If you have a MySQL database, its entry is on the third line.

"Space" is measured in Megabytes. Usage is the amount currently used.
"Quota" is the amount of space you have purchased (including what is included in your account).
"Limit" is the hard quota, which is normally 5%more than the amount of space purchased.
"Expires" is the time left before the "Limit" is dropped to the level of "Quota".

The number of files is a system issue. It should not be a problem for any user. If you find that you are close to quota on the number of files please ask us to increase that number for you.

All files owned by you on the system are included in your quota.
